About Me!
Hi there!
I’m Nadja, a 23-year-old student from the Netherlands, and probably like many of you that stumbled upon this website, I have been struggling with a condition called Keratosis Pilaris (also referred to as 'strawberry' or 'chicken skin') since i was a little kid.
I know firsthand how frustrating it can be to live with KP, and how deeply it can effect your confidence. For me, it’s located on heavily on my whole legs, and slightly on the back of my arms. No matter what I tried, nothing seemed to work to make these annoying bumps any less noticable. It left me feeling incredibly self-conscious, to the point where I avoided wearing shorts, dresses, or anything that would show my arms or legs. I would even avoid certain social activities like swimming with my friends or playing sports. I was embarrassed by how my skin looked, and it really impacted my day-to-day life.
Now, I’ve come to understand that beauty comes in so many forms, and I now truly believe everyone is beautiful in their own unique way. But back then, I struggled to see my own beauty. It was hard to embrace that idea when I felt so self-conscious about my skin. So, I completely understand how others might feel the same way I once did—frustrated, insecure, and unsure of how to appreciate themselves fully. And I just want you to know, that's okay. Everyone’s experiences are uniquely theirs, and everyone has their own path to take on this.
I spent all these years searching for a solution to make the bumps go away. I wasted a lot of time and money on all kinds of products—lotions, exfoliating scrubs, specialized creams, and even certain treatments that promised smooth, KP-free skin. But each time I thought I had finally found the perfect solution, it either provided only temporary relief or didn’t work at all. I’d find myself disappointed again and again as those stubborn bumps refused to disappear.
As I entered my teenage years, the insecurity became even more overwhelming. It wasn’t just about the appearance of my skin anymore—it was the frustration of feeling powerless to change it. I began to think this was something I’d just have to accept for the rest of my life, and i would never be able to wear cute shorts on the hottest of days. But deep down, I refused to give up.
After years of wasting money, dealing with failed products / treatments, and feeling hopeless, I decided to take an entirely different approach at the beginning of the year 2024. I began digging deeper into the root cause of my condition, really searching for the 'why' in what caused my skin to behave like this. I started looking beyond the quick fixes and surface-level treatments. What I found changed EVERYTHING. After hours upon hours of research I discovered that KP is not just a superficial skin issue—it’s connected to deeper factors within the body. I learned, by addressing the root causes of KP, I could finally get it under control in a way that no lotion or scrub ever could on its own. So I started implementing everything I had learned over the past months. It was a long journey, but for the first time ever I can finally say... I am KP-free!
My journey and results inspired me to create this community, and write my very own ebook where I am able to share with you everything I’ve learned about Keratosis Pilaris and help hundreds and hopefully thousands of other people going through the same thing.
I started this community and wrote my ebook with much love for people like me—those who have struggled with Keratosis Pilaris for years, tried countless products, and are now ready for a real, lasting solution. Or even when you're new to the condition, I hope my ebook will be the only thing you'll ever need to achieve clear, smooth and KP-free skin like I finally managed to do so!
